Spiral Modular

Multi-level elevation in a minimal footprint.

A modular belt climbing a helix around a central column — several metres of lift in the footprint of one machine, with no transfer between levels.

  • Configuration Spiral, multi-level
  • Construction Stainless steel 304 or aluminum

Inside the spiral modular

Scroll to walk the assembly. Each step picks out the parts it describes in colour and leaves the rest in plain steel.

01

Drive end

The geared drive head sits at the top of the column and pulls the modular belt through the whole helix. Mounting it at the discharge means the belt is under tension on the climb rather than pushed, so it tracks cleanly through every turn.

Tier joining plates

Machined joining plates tie each tier back to the column and hold the helix at a constant pitch. They carry the running surface, so the belt is supported continuously rather than spanning between widely spaced arms.

03

Modular spiral belt

A radius-capable modular belt climbs the tower in a continuous helix. Because the belt is built from interlocking modules it can collapse on the inside edge and stretch on the outside, which is what lets one unbroken run change level without a transfer.

04

Idler end

The idler assembly closes the loop at the infeed and carries the take-up. Tension is set here, away from the drive, so belt tracking can be adjusted without disturbing the gearmotor.

Column & structure

80 × 80 aluminium profile forms the central column the helix wraps around. Profile lets every tier bracket, guide and guard clamp anywhere along the run, so the pitch of the spiral is set on assembly rather than fixed by drilled holes.

Base & castors

A welded star base spreads the tower load across four braked castors, so the whole spiral can be repositioned by one operator and then locked rigid. The plan view on the GA drawing shows the footprint this needs.
